Is fresh food safe for my pet? Doesn't uncooked food contain unsafe pathogens? 

Contrary to popular belief, a fresh diet is completely safe for your pets! Millions of pet owners feed their pets a completely raw diet with wonderful results. Our pet's bodies are well-equipped to handle a fresh diet. As an extra layer of assurance, every batch of our food is tested by an accredited third-party laboratory for Listeria monocytogenes, E. Coli, and Salmonella. We do not release (and sell) our product until all analytical testing is performed and the results released.

As with all new diets, we recommend consulting with your vet first.

How much should I feed my pet?

The amount that you feed your pet will vary, depending on age and life stage. On average, a 10 pound cat will require 4 ounces of food per day, while a 40 pound dog will require 1 pound of food per day. How do I transition my pet to a fresh food diet? 

My pet doesn't like/is allergic to chicken. Do you offer other varieties of food? 

In order to allow your pet's digestive system time to properly adjust, it is important to gradually transition your pet to a fresh food diet. On average, it can take up to 10 days to fully transition to a fresh food diet. For detailed information on transitioning to a fresh food diet, please visit our Transitioning to a Fresh Diet page.

My pet is a picky eater and won't try the food. What should I do? 

While some pets take on to a fresh diet quickly, others may take a little more time -- this is completely normal! Try transitioning your pet to their new food more slowly, or sprinkle some of your pet's favorite treats on top. How should I store the food?

Keep food frozen until ready to use. For best results, we recommend thawing your pet's daily portion of food in the refrigerator one day before it's needed. Once refrigerated, food should be consumed within 5 days. We recommend no more than a 2 hour total window out of refrigeration to feed thawed food. Any uneaten food should immediately be placed back into refrigeration and used within 5 days. For more safe handling and thawing tips, please visit our Safe Handling page.

Why does the food contain bones?

Do you accept returns?

Raw Paw Feast contains finely ground bone in both our dog and cat formulas. Bone contains an important source of calcium, essential to both dogs and cats. This is completely safe and not harmful to your pet. The pieces are so small, you probably won't even notice!  

We are confident that your pet will absolutely love our food! However, we stand behind our product and offer full refunds if you (or your pet!) are not 100% satisfied. Contact us at rawpawfeast@gmail.com and we will get your refund processed right away. 

How does delivery work? 

For our local customers within a 30 mile radius of St. Louis, we offer home delivery. Just choose your preferred delivery day at checkout. On your delivery date, we will text you when we're on our way to ensure someone is home to accept the delivery. Think of it as Postmates...but for your pets! All local deliveries will arrive in a reusable insulated tote. 

For those outside of the St. Louis area, we offer FedEx 2-day shipping. 

Why don't you offer delivery outside of Missouri?

In order to legally sell pet food, companies must meet the licensing requirements in each state. As of today, Raw Paw Feast is licensed to sell in Missouri only -- but we plan on attaining licensing in other states in the near future! Why does Raw Paw Feast cost more than my pet's regular food? Do you offer any discounts or coupons?

I have a question that wasn't answered here.

We recognize that Raw Paw Feast costs a bit more than the big-name commercial brands that you find at your big box pet stores. As the old adage goes: You get what you pay for! Each batch of Raw Paw Feast contains premium ingredients with no fillers to ensure your pets are getting everything they need -- and nothing that they don't. We do everything within our control to keep our prices as low as possible, and our prices are very competitive when comparing to other fresh pet food products currently on the market. 

With that said, we do offer several opportunities for discounts! For our local customers, when you re-use your insulated tote, we offer a discount on future orders. And we occasionally send out coupons to our loyal mailing list subscribers!
